1. Lucky 13
Catching an SLC Bees game then grabbing a burger and drink at Lucky 13 is the recipe for an excellent summer afternoon for Salt Lake City residents. Often referred to as one of the best burgers in the entire state, Lucky 13 has been reviewed by Guy Fieri and a host of other big-name celebrities. My recommendation is to hit up Lucky 13 on Saturday afternoon to try out my personal favorite.
2. Keys on Main
Their Dueling Piano Show features talented musicians who are able to play any hit song that has been on the radio within the last 50 years. Shows are Wednesday to Saturday with weekday shows from 8:30 to 11:30 and Weekend shows from 9:00 to 1:00 am
3. Lake Effect
With live music nearly every day of the week, Lake Effect is a craft cocktail bar with over 250 types of wines and beers also sporting the largest spirit selection in the state. The laid back atmosphere and friendly staff make Lake Effect an excellent option for a laid back Friday night.
One of the newer bars on the list, quarters is the perfect place to release your inner 9-year-old and go wild playing all sorts of arcade-style games. According to their website, two local bartenders decided to chase their dreams of opening their own bar and thus quarters was born. Quarters is open six days a week and is the perfect place for an after-work evening hangout.
Gracie’s is one of the few bars in town that can satisfy every age range on a Friday night. Playing a mix of classic songs, Gracie’s can be an option of 50-year-old business get-togethers, college outings, and anywhere in between. Be sure to check online to see their events and specials!
